Balanced Body® education at re:VIBE Pilates in Coral Springs, Florida offers a full range of Pilates Instructor Teacher Training programs. Whether you are interested in teaching Mat Pilates classes, Pilates Reformer classes or Pilates personal training sessions on the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair and Barrels, we have the resources you need to succeed. We hold all of our workshops in our studio in Coral Springs, FL. We are located convenient to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Coconut Creek, West Palm Beach, Naples, Key West, Orlando, Fort Meyers and Sarasota Florida. Our program, like those of other leaders in the Pilates industry, offers an assessment-based certificate of completion, not a “Pilates Certification”, based on the recommendations of thePilates Method Alliance (PMA).
The Balanced Body Pilates instructor training program is designed to create thoughtful, creative and successful Pilates teachers. Our curriculum emphasizes the principles underlying each exercise. Our faculty members have a wide variety of Pilates backgrounds from classical to contemporary to fitness and bring their exceptional depth of experience to the training. Our manuals are considered to be some of the best in the industry and for more in depth study, we have produced an accompanying DVD & Streaming Online Video for each Mat, Reformer and Apparatus module.
The teacher training program at re:VIBE Pilates offer two options to complete your comprehensive certificate of completion:
1. Balanced Body Pilates Mat Instructor Training Certificate Requirement for Completion -
To become a fully qualified Balanced Body Mat Instructor, students must complete the following:
Anatomy (strongly recommended)
Balanced Body Mat 1 – Course work, written and practical test (16 hours)
Balanced Body Mat 2 – Course work, written and practical test (16 hours)
20 Mat Personal Sessions, 15 observation hours and 35 student teaching hours.
Final written and practical test.
Total hours for completion of Mat program: 102 hours (not including anatomy)
2. Balanced Body Pilates Reformer Instructor Training Certificate Requirements for Completion –
To become a fully qualified Balanced Body Reformer Instructor, students must complete the following:
Balanced Body Mat Instructor training (1 & 2) or equivalent
Adds the additional 3 modules:
Balanced Body Reformer 1 – Course work, written and practical test (18 hours)
Balanced Body Reformer 2 – Course work, written and practical test (16 hours)
Balanced Body Reformer 3 – Course work, written and practical test (14 hours)
30 Reformer personal sessions, 30 observation hours and 90 teaching hours
Total hours for completion of Reformer program: 198 hours (not including anatomy)
Total hours for completion of Mat and Reformer program: 300 hours
3. Pilates Comprehensive Instructor Training Program (Full Pilates Instructor)
Modules: Mat 1,2/Reformer 1,2,3/Trapeze Table aka Cadillac or Tower, Chair and Barrels
The Balanced Body Pilates Apparatus instructors training program completes the full Pilates instructor certificate program. Included is the complete repertoire on the Trapeze Table/Cadillac/Tower, the Pilates Chair, and the Barrels. Completing the additional apparatus training gives you a great variety of the tools to use when working with clients and qualifies you to apply to take the PMA certification exam.
ThePMA Certification Program has created the only psychometrically validated, third party certification exam in the Pilates field.
Adds the additional 3 modules:
Balanced Body Trapeze Table/Tower (18 hours)
Balanced Body Chair (14 hours)
Balanced Body Barrels (6 hours)
Requirements for Completion – To become a fully qualified Balanced Body Pilates instructor, students must complete the following requirements:
Balanced Body Mat Instructor training or equivalent
Balanced Body Reformer training or equivalent
Balanced Body Cadillac/Tower - Course work, written and practical exam (18 hours)
Balanced Body Chair – Course work, written and practical exam (14 hours)
Balanced Body Barrels – Course work, written and practical exam (6 hours)
35 Personal sessions, 20 observation hours and 95 teaching hours
Practical and Written Final Test
Total hours for completion of Apparatus: 188 hours
Total hours for completion of full program: 488 hours (not including anatomy)
Upon completion of all of the requirements, a certificate of completion as a
Balanced Body Education Pilates Instructor will be issued.
Reformer Instructor and Comprehensive Final Exam Test Out Information:
Once instructors have completed all of the Reformer and/or Apparatus course work and hours, they must pass a written and a practical exam demonstrating their teaching ability.
The final test out consists of:
Observation of a session with a client or an apparatus class.
The specific requirements will be determined and provided prior to the testing.
During the exam we will be observing and rating the instructor’s skills in the following areas:
Correct set-up and execution of the exercises
Appropriateness of the exercises to the client or class
Understanding and application of the principles: Balanced Body and Pilates principles
Cueing and the ability to communicate with your client or class
Payment, Registration, Cancellation, and sick policies for trainings:
Registration, payments and refunds are all handled by Balanced Body (BBU or BB) directly
Cancellation of your registration will incur the following fees:
- $100.00 fee if written notice of cancellation is received by BBU up to five (5) days before class start date or a $50.00 transfer fee to transfer from one course to another course, plus the materials fee.
- $250.00 or the full course fee, whichever is less, if written notice of cancellation is received by BBU within five (5) days before class start date or a $50.00 transfer fee to transfer from one course to another course, plus the materials fee.
- No refund is given for any cancellation received on or after the start date of the training.

Program Changes & Policies
Balanced Body Education and re:VIBE Pilates makes every effort to hold classes at the dates, times and locations, and with the instructors and classes specified on our web site and brochures. We do reserve the right to cancel and/or change event dates, times, instructors and locations although this happens very rarely. In the very unlikely event that circumstances dictate that we do postpone or cancel a class, you will be refunded your registration fee in full or offered a transfer to another Balanced Body class of your choice.
Balanced Body Education and re:VIBE Pilates are not responsible for workshops, or portions of workshops that attendee misses due to illness, emergency, or other event beyond the control of BB. If a student misses any part of the training, they must make it up with the Master Instructor in a private session at the Master Instructor's current going hourly rate. Each hour missed is 30 min of private time. BB and re:VIBE are not responsible for losses incurred by any attendee for airline fares or other travel arrangements in the event that the class must be cancelled or postponed. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
